๐พ Bihar State Crop Assistance Scheme โ Financial Support for Farmers Affected by Natural Disasters
The Bihar State Crop Assistance Scheme has been launched by the Government of Bihar to safeguard farmers from crop losses caused by natural calamities such as floods, droughts, and other disasters. Under this scheme, if a farmerโs crops are damaged due to any natural disaster, the government provides financial compensation to help cover their losses and support recovery.
๐ฑ Crops Covered Under the Scheme
Aghani Paddy Crop: Implemented in all Gram Panchayats across 527 regions in 38 districts (except specific circles in Bhagalpur district).
BhadaiโMaize Crop: Covered in all Gram Panchayats across 534 regions of 38 districts.
Soybean Crop: Notified as a district-level crop for Begusarai, Samastipur, and Khagaria districts.
Clauses (1) and (2) are also applicable in Nagar Panchayat and Nagar Parishad areas within these districts.
๐ฐ Benefits of Bihar State Crop Assistance Scheme

For 20% Crop Loss:
If the actual yield decreases by 20% compared to the threshold yield, farmers will receive โน7,500 per hectare, up to a maximum of 2 hectares (โน15,000 total).

For More Than 20% Crop Loss:
If the yield falls by more than 20%, assistance is provided at โน10,000 per hectare, up to 2 hectares (โน20,000 total).
๐ฉโ๐พ Eligibility Criteria
Farmers cultivating their own land.
Farmers cultivating leased or shared land.
Farmers engaged in cultivation on both owned and leased land.

Visit the official portal: https://dbtagriculture.bihar.gov.in/
Login using your farmer registration number.
If not registered, complete the registration process on the same website.
Retrieve or verify your registration number at https://pacsonline.bih.nic.in/fsy/Register.aspx.
After login, fill in the application form with accurate details.
Upload required documents and submit the application online.
