Krishi Input Anudan Yojana – Bihar 🌾

The “Krishi Input Anudan Yojana”, launched by the Department of Agriculture, Government of Bihar, aims to support farmers affected by floods and heavy rainfall, particularly in areas impacted by rising water levels of rivers such as the Ganga and Kosi. Under this scheme, farmers who have suffered more than 33% crop damage receive financial assistance as agricultural input subsidies to recover their losses and sustain agricultural productivity.


💰 Benefits

Subsidy Amounts (per hectare):

  • Non-irrigated crop areas: ₹8,500/-

  • Irrigated crop areas: ₹17,000/-

  • Perennial crops: ₹22,500/-

Minimum Subsidy Amounts (per farmer):

  • Non-irrigated crop areas: ₹1,000/-

  • Irrigated crop areas: ₹2,000/-

  • Perennial crops: ₹2,500/-


👩‍🌾 Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a farmer.

  • The farmer should belong to reported Panchayats in identified blocks of the specified districts.

  • The applicant must be registered on the DBT portal.

  • The bank account of the applicant must be linked with the Aadhaar number.

Note:
Farmers cultivating on others’ land will be verified as “actual cultivators” through a joint certification by the Agriculture Coordinator and Farmer Advisor to ensure that only genuine cultivators receive the subsidy benefits.


🌐 Application Process

1️⃣ DBT Registration Process

  1. Visit the DBT Bihar Portal registration page.

  2. Select Aadhaar verification type: OTP / BIO-AUTH / IRIS.

  3. Enter your Aadhaar number and name as per Aadhaar, then click “Authentication.”

  4. Enter the OTP received and click “Validate OTP.”

  5. Confirm Kisan Credit Card (KCC) details and click on “Farmer Registration.”

  6. Fill in Farmer details, Land details, and Bank details, then click “Submit.”

  7. Validate again with OTP and click “Register” to generate your Registration ID.

🕒 Note: After 48 hours of registration, farmers can apply for the scheme using their 13-digit registration number.


2️⃣ Online Application for the Scheme

  1. Visit the Official Agriculture Department Website.

  2. Click on “Apply Online” from the menu bar.

  3. Select “Agricultural Input Subsidy Scheme 2024 for crop damage due to floods caused by rising water levels of Ganga, Kosi, and other rivers.”

  4. Enter your 13-digit registration number and fill in all required details.

  5. Enter the Captcha, click “Get OTP,” and verify the OTP.

  6. Upload the required documents and click “Submit.”

  7. An application number will be sent via SMS to your registered mobile number.


📄 Documents Required

For DBT Registration:

  • Aadhaar (linked with mobile number)

  • Passport size photo

  • Farmer details

  • Land information

  • Bank account details

For Scheme Application:

  • Passport size photo

  • Police station number

  • Bank account number

  • Khesra number

  • Land document (Receipt / Jamabandi) or Land Possession Certificate (LPC)

  • Details of crop damage caused by floods

  • Verification details of two adjacent farmers with signatures

  • Any other supporting documents (if required)


Krishi Input Anudan Yojana provides timely financial relief to Bihar’s farmers, helping them recover from flood-related losses and continue their agricultural livelihood with confidence.
