The Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department, Tamil Nadu, has launched the Animal Husbandry Scheme to support Adi Dravidar and Tribal farmers in improving their livelihoods through livestock rearing. The scheme provides a 50%–75% subsidy on sheep units, milch animals, and calves, along with essential veterinary and breeding services.

  • 🧬 Breeding Support: Artificial insemination for better productivity.

👩‍🌾 Eligibility

  • Must be a resident of Tamil Nadu.

  • Should be a farmer.

  • Must belong to the Adi Dravidar or Tribal community.

📝 Animal Husbandry Scheme Application Process (Offline)

  1. Collect the application form from the Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Office, Animal Husbandry Department, or Veterinary Hospital.

  2. Fill in all details, attach a passport-size photo and required documents.

  3. Submit the completed form to the concerned office.

  4. Obtain an acknowledgment receipt for reference.

📄 Documents Required

  • Aadhaar Card or any valid ID proof.

  • Community Certificate.

  • Any other supporting documents, if required.

This initiative aims to promote self-reliance and sustainable income among Adi Dravidar and Tribal farmers through livestock-based livelihoods.
