महाराष्ट्रातील शेतकऱ्यांच्या हितासाठी विविध योजना आहेत. त्यांपैकी काही योजना खास उल्लेखनीय आहेत:
- प्रधानमंत्री फसल बीमा योजना: या योजनेच्या माध्यमातून शेतकऱ्यांना वर्षभरातील विविध आडंबरींवरील नुकसानींचा विमा मिळतो. या योजनेच्या अंतर्गत शेतकऱ्यांना आपोआप विमा भरण्याची सुविधा मिळते.
- रबी बिज योजना: या योजनेच्या माध्यमातून शेतकऱ्यांना रबी बिजाचे बिजारी यंत्र मुफ्त उपलब्ध करून दिले जातात.
- जलसंपदा योजना: या योजनेच्या माध्यमातून शेतकऱ्यांना जलसंपदा विकासासाठी सहाय्य मिळते. या योजनेच्या अंतर्गत जलाशय, आयरन रंगाचे टंक इत्यादी व्यवस्थापन सुविधांचे निर्माण केले जातात.

कृषी क्षेत्राच्या विकासाबाबत केंद्र व राज्य सरकारच्या वतीने विविध योजना कार्यरत आहेत. यामध्ये कृषी उत्पादनात वाढ, पिकांचे संरक्षण, पिकांवरील कीड नियंत्रण, राष्ट्रीय अन्न सुरक्षा अभियान-व्यावसायिक पिकांतर्गत ऊस योजना यांचा समावेश आहे.
कापसाचे उत्पादन वाढविण्यासाठी सुधारित मशागत पद्धती व आधुनिक तंत्रज्ञानाचा वापर करून प्रतिहेक्टरी उत्पादन वाढवणे यासाठी सन 2013-14 पर्यंत कापूस तंत्रज्ञान अभियान -2 अंतर्गत केंद्र पुरस्कृत सघन कापूस विकास कार्यक्रम राबवण्यात येत होता.
