The Scheme for Integrated Development of Horticulture (HRT-2) is implemented by the Agriculture and Co-operation Department, Government of Gujarat. The main goal of this initiative is to promote the holistic growth of horticulture across the state by offering financial support to farmers for activities such as crop processing, post-harvest management, farm mechanization, market linkage, and infrastructure development.

1. Promotional Support:
Assistance for horticultural exhibitions, publications, seminars, Krishi Melas, and stall rentals.

2. Farm Mechanization:
Subsidies on power tillers, mini tractors, and modern farm machinery to enhance productivity.

3. Processing Units:
Support for establishing new distillation units for medicinal and aromatic crops, as well as processing units for cashew and fruit crops.

4. Export Incentives:
Subsidies on sea and air freight for exporting fruits, vegetables, flowers, and plants.

5. Market Rate Support:
Assistance under the Minimum Support Price (MSP) scheme for horticultural crops to stabilize market prices.

6. Utility Bill Subsidy:
Subsidy on electricity bills for greenhouses and tissue culture laboratories.

7. Equipment Assistance:
Financial help for purchasing harvesting, processing, and crop protection equipment.

8. Post-Harvest Management:
Subsidy on packing materials to reduce post-harvest losses.

9. Protected Cultivation Infrastructure:
Support for setting up hi-tech greenhouses, polyhouses, net houses, plug nurseries, and vegetable trellising structures (for crops like tomato, chili, and climbers).

  • Applicant must be a resident farmer of Gujarat.

  • Must be actively involved in horticultural activities under the scheme.

  • Must possess valid land ownership documents (e.g., 7/12 Certificate).


🖥️ How to Apply Online (Through I-Khedut Portal)

Registration Steps:

  1. Visit the official I-Khedut Portal.

  2. Click on “Login”“Beneficiary Registration” → Choose your beneficiary type (Farmer / Institutional / Other).

  3. Select District, Taluka, and Village, enter account details, and click “Save and Next.”

  4. Enter Mobile Number and Email, verify via OTP, create a password, and submit.

Login & Application Steps:

  1. Log in to the I-Khedut Portal.

  2. Go to “Schemes” → “Agricultural Schemes.”

  3. Choose the HRT-2 Scheme and click “Apply.”

  4. Fill in the application form and submit.

  5. Make any corrections using the “Update Application” option.

  6. Confirm your application and take a printout for records.
