Organic Manure Scheme – Empowering Farmers in Meghalaya
The Organic Manure Scheme is a state-run initiative by the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Government of Meghalaya. It aims to provide hands-on training at the village level on producing organic compost for plant health management and sustainable agriculture.

Eligibility:

Resident of Meghalaya: Only residents of Meghalaya are eligible.

Bonafide Farmers: Must be an active farmer engaged in agriculture.
How to Apply:

Step 1: Write an application on plain paper (no specific form required).

Step 2: Attach self-attested copies of necessary documents.

Step 3: Submit the completed application and documents to the nearest Agriculture Development Officer at a CD Block or Horticulture office.
Mode of Selection:

First-Come, First-Served: Preference will be given to farmers with sufficient cultivable land.
