The Masala Shetra Vistar Yojana was launched by the Government of Madhya Pradesh under the Department of Horticulture and Food Processing. The main objective of this scheme is to increase the cultivation area and production of selected spice crops using high-quality, high-yielding varieties.
🌿 Selected Spice Crops
Seed spice crops
Turmeric (with rhizomes)
Ginger
💰 Benefits
For seed spice crops: 50% subsidy on the cost of seeds, up to ₹10,000 per hectare (whichever is less).
For root/rhizome crops (Garlic, Turmeric, Ginger): 50% subsidy on the cost of planting material, up to ₹50,000 per hectare (whichever is less).
👨🌾 Eligibility Criteria
Farmers who are not currently cultivating spices.
The scheme is open to all categories of farmers.
Farmers with forest rights certificates are also eligible.
The grant is payable only once per farmer.
Farmers can cultivate in any area, but the grant will be applicable for a minimum of 0.25 hectare and a maximum of 2.00 hectares.
🚫 Exclusions & Conditions
Only farmers genuinely interested in spice cultivation will be encouraged.
Benefits will be provided only once under the scheme.
Applicable to all farmer categories, including those with forest rights certificates.
The subsidy is limited to 0.25 – 2.00 hectares per farmer.

Visit the official portal of the Horticulture Department.
Click on “New Registration”.
Enter your mobile number and verify it using OTP.
Fill in the required details and upload documents.
Review the information and click on the Submit button.
