The Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, Tamil Nadu, implements the Distribution of Rhizobium Scheme to help farmers enhance soil fertility and boost pulse crop yield. Through this scheme, farmers receive financial support for purchasing Rhizobium culture, which improves nitrogen fixation in the soil and increases productivity.

💰 Benefits

• Subsidy: 50% of the cost of Rhizobium or ₹100 per hectare, whichever is less.

👩‍🌾 Eligibility

• Must be a resident of Tamil Nadu.

• Must be a farmer cultivating pulse crops.

• Should raise seed farms with pulses.

📝 Distribution of Rhizobium Scheme – Tamil Nadu Application Process (Offline)

1. Collect the application form from the nearest Agricultural Office.

2. Fill out the form and attach all required self-attested documents.

3. Submit the completed form to the concerned authority:

   • Village Level: Assistant Agricultural Officer

   • Block Level: Agricultural Officer / Deputy Agricultural Officer

   • District Level: Joint Director of Agriculture
