Pashupalan (GBCDC) Scheme – Gujarat

The “Pashupalan (GBCDC)” scheme, launched by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, jointly supported by the Central and Gujarat Governments, aims to empower socially and educationally backward communities by promoting animal husbandry and agriculture-related activities. Under this initiative, eligible beneficiaries receive low-interest loans to start or expand their livestock businesses, such as purchasing cows and buffaloes, thereby improving their income and livelihood.


🌾 Key Benefits

  • Low-Interest Loan: Loan provided at a 6% interest rate per annum.

  • Maximum Loan Limit: Up to ₹1,00,000/-.

  • Loan Coverage:

    • 85% of the total unit cost is covered under the scheme.

    • Of this 85%:

      • 85% contribution from the National Corporation,

      • 10% from the State Government,

      • 5% contribution from the beneficiary.

  • Purpose: The loan is meant for animal husbandry activities (such as rearing cows and buffaloes).

  • Repayment Period: The loan must be repaid in 60 equal monthly instalments, including interest.


👥 Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must belong to a Socially and Educationally Backward Class (SEBC).

  • The annual family income should not exceed ₹3,00,000/-.

  • The age limit is 21 to 45 years at the time of application.

  • The applicant must possess experience or skills related to animal husbandry or similar technical activities.


💻 How to Apply (Online Process)

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to the Gujarat Backward Caste Development Corporation (GBCDC) website.

  2. Find the Scheme: Scroll down the homepage, locate “Pashupalan”, and click on “Apply Now.”

  3. Fill the Application Form: Provide all required details including:

    • Personal Details: Aadhaar, Voter ID, Ration Card, Name, Address, Caste, Age, Gender, Marital Status.

    • Income Information: Income certificate number, issuing officer, and total annual income.

    • Disability Details: If applicable, provide percentage of disability.

    • Employment Information: Mention any family member employed in government/private sector.

    • Education Details: Select qualification (Uneducated, Educated, Graduate, etc.).

    • Loan History: Declare if any previous loan was taken and its repayment details.

    • Bank Details: Provide account number, bank name, branch, IFSC, and MICR codes.

  4. Submit Application: After filling all details, click “Submit” to complete the online application.
