Establishment of 1 to 20 Milch Animal Farm Scheme – Gujarat
The “Establishment of 1 to 20 Milch Animal Farm” scheme, launched by the Department of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare, and Cooperation, Government of Gujarat, aims to support livestock farmers by providing financial assistance in the form of an interest subsidy. This initiative encourages farmers to adopt animal husbandry as a sustainable source of income and promotes large-scale dairy farming across the state.
Key Benefits
- 
Interest Subsidy: Eligible farmers receive a 12% interest subsidy on the unit cost as determined by NABARD or banks. 
Eligibility Criteria
- 
The applicant must be a livestock farmer, including: - 
Agricultural laborers 
- 
Small and marginal farmers 
- 
Landless individuals 
- 
Maldhari (pastoralists) 
- 
Educated unemployed persons 
 
- 
- 
The applicant must have availed a bank loan for setting up a dairy farm (1 to 20 milch animals – cows or buffaloes). 
- 
The applicant should have land, livestock, and water availability. 
- 
The scheme is also applicable to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes livestock owners in Gujarat. 
Application Process (Online)
- 
Visit the I-Khedut Portal. 
- 
On the homepage, click on “Schemes” and then select “Animal Husbandry Schemes.” 
- 
Choose the scheme and click on the “Apply” button. 
- 
Click on “Apply New” to submit a new application. 
- 
To make corrections, use the “Update Application” option. 
- 
After completing the form, confirm the application. 
- 
Take a printout of the confirmed application and submit it with the required documents to the concerned Taluka office.

Note: The application copy for the interest subsidy will be forwarded to the Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry, District Panchayat for verification through the Veterinary Officer of the local dispensary.
